Generator rental for events: 50-150 kW, with distribution and technician
Mobile Event rents 50, 100 and 150 kW generators for outdoor events and for venues where the existing supply cannot carry a full technical production. Each generator comes with distribution boards, cabling, industrial sockets and a technician who sizes the power against the real equipment on site: LED screens, sound, lighting, AV control. We own the equipment and it ships with the rest of the production.
Generator configurations
We size the generator on the combined draw of the equipment, not on headcount. A 200-guest event with a large LED screen and a line array can draw more than an 800-guest event with projection and conference sound. The three tiers below cover everything from brand activations in an office courtyard to festival stages.

50 kW generator for outdoor corporate events
Covers an outdoor conference or product launch: L-Acoustics Kara II or Kiva sound, an LED screen up to 20 m², basic stage lighting and AV control. Suited to events in a hotel garden, a company courtyard or a marquee for up to 300 guests. Delivered and commissioned on the same day as the build.

100 kW generator for marquee conferences and galas
The tier for full productions at venues with no supply: a 30-60 m² LED screen, line array with subwoofers, 20-30 moving heads, multicamera control and power for a light catering area. Marquees of 300-800 guests, outdoor corporate galas, trade fairs and exhibitions with their own stage.

150 kW generator for festivals and large stages
Powers a stage with a roof structure, an L-Acoustics Kudo system with SB28, an LED screen over 100 m² and a full lighting rig. Where an interruption is not acceptable, we configure a second generator as backup.

Power distribution and backup for venues with insufficient supply
The usual problem is insufficient power rather than no power at all. Hotel ballrooms, older conference centres and office buildings typically have 32-63 A available, and a production with LED and sound asks for more. We bring the generator as the primary source or as backup, with our own distribution boards, cable runs on safe routes, 16, 32 and 63 A CEE sockets and separate circuits for audio and lighting, so mains noise stays out of the sound.
How to size the generator for your event
The power you need depends on three things: LED surface, the sound system and the number of discharge or high-power LED fixtures. As a guide, an LED screen draws 300 to 800 W per square metre depending on content and brightness; a moving head such as a Mac 700 or a 1 kW Arri fixture draws roughly 1 kW each; a line array with amplification peaks at a few kW. The generator should run at 60-80% of capacity, not at its limit, so it can absorb the inrush when equipment starts.
